Southern Oregon has both the state’s largest lake (Klamath) and its deepest (Crater), and is home to world-class fishing and river rafting as well as the state’s theatrical crown jewel, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Grants and Scholarships

To build stronger communities, OCF works with a broad base of donors, nonprofits and volunteers throughout the state. We disbursed approximately $60 million in 2010 to more than 2,000 nonprofits and 2,300 students.

Leading principles of the foundation’s discretionary grantmaking are to:

  • Build an inclusive spirit of community encompassing all the people of Oregon
  • Prioritize investments that resolve problems at their source
  • Connect private citizens to address needs and aspirations of their communities
