Here to Connect People and Causes
With Funding

To build stronger communities, OCF works with a broad base of donors, nonprofits and volunteers throughout the state. We disbursed $63 million in 2008 to more than 1,800 nonprofits and 2,000 students.

These distributions represent the objectives of our board of directors and the philanthropic interests of our donors:

  • Education - $15.1 million
  • Scholarships - $5.3 million
  • Children and Families - $25.7 million
  • Arts and Culture - $8.1 million
  • Citizen Engagement - $8.2 million
  • Religious Organizations - $900,000

Grants and Scholarships

OCF recipients are as diverse as the communities we serve. Our broad focus and flexible approach bring opportunities for change to local communities. OCF’s grant processes include an array of criteria and programs. Leading principles of the foundation’s discretionary grantmaking are to:

  • Build an inclusive spirit of community encompassing all the people of Oregon
  • Prioritize investments that resolve problems at their source
  • Connect private citizens to address needs and aspirations of their communities

Wondering if you qualify for assistance?
