Grant Distributions
This program is not open for application. OCF makes distributions annually in the form of grants from designated funds that have been established by donors for the support of one or more charitable organizations. Currently, OCF has about 250 designated funds and awards to about 260 nonprofits each year. Most distributions are made in July.
Grant Reports Trigger Next Year's Distribution
Recipients of designated fund distributions are required to submit a progress report by March 1, detailing how the funds were used in the calendar year just ended. These reports are reviewed by OCF's staff and board of directors. If it is determined that the funds were used appropriately, the next year's distribution is approved at a board of directors meeting in May, followed by actual payment in July.
Here is the Designated Grant Report Form. This form has been modified recently in an attempt to make it easier for nonprofits to complete and submit it electronically. Please e-mail the completed form to designatedgrants@oregoncf.org.
Potential Broader Impact of Grant Reports
The accomplishments and challenges experienced by grantees, as described in their reports, helps OCF understand nonprofits. This information may be shared with advised fund donors interested in supporting nonprofits working in a particular field.
