OCF 2008 Annual Report

The Oregon Community Foundation’s 2008 Annual Report is available here in PDF format.

As active partners in the work of the Foundation, our donors play a critical role in enriching the lives of Oregonians through philanthropy. Thank you to each of you who have donated to funds or created new funds at OCF in 2008.

Discretionary Funds and Donor Advised Funds: With a discretionary fund, you create a named fund and the Foundation’s board selects the most effective community programs. A donor advised fund enables the donor to be actively involved in choosing the organizations to receive support from their fund.

Field-of-Interest Funds: You identify a particular area of community need or geographic focus, leaving the selection of specific organizations to the Foundation.

Designated Funds: You name one or more specific organizations to receive annual support.

Scholarship Funds: You establish the criteria and the Foundation provides outreach, selection of students and monitoring of student performance.

The Oregon Scholarship Fund: This fund accepts gifts or bequests in any amount and makes scholarships available to graduates of any Oregon high school.

The Oregon Fund: This fund accepts gifts or bequests in any amount and makes grants for general charitable purposes in Oregon.

Endowment Partners Funds: Nonprofit organizations transfer their assets to OCF to establish endowment funds to support their annual operational needs.

Administrative Endowment: These donations support the on-going work of the Foundation.

Supporting Foundations: These are foundations that support OCF’s charitable purposes.
