Last year, despite difficult economic times, dozens of Oregonians chose to set up funds at OCF. Though their reasons were varied, they all wanted to find a way to give back to the community. Andrew and Hermann Colas, profiled in this video, were prompted to set up a fund to help Haiti, where their family is from, after the earthquake. The Jacobs family, also profiled, wanted their daughters involved in the decision about the focus of their fund so that they could carry on the family’s tradition of giving.
